Our Academics
Colton Christian School proudly utilizes the Bob Jones University Press (BJUP) curriculum. BJUP has long been recognized as the gold standard for Christian school curriculum, making dedicated efforts to ensure that all subjects are biblically integrated, infused with Scriptural truth, and filled with opportunities for students to worship the Creator through His creation.
Colton Christian School also appreciates BJUP's approach to Common Core, particularly in its commitment to providing sound academic instruction from a Christian perspective. BJUP states, "We do not limit ourselves to the level of the standards but go beyond them, based on our philosophy of learning and sound educational practices. In other words, our materials exceed the Common Core State Standards in terms of age-appropriate instruction and academic rigor."

Resources
We have a highly qualified and credentialed faculty member dedicated to helping each student achieve their academic goals. Our resource program takes a focused, individualized approach to education by assessing the unique learning styles and abilities of students with diverse learning needs. We engage students by utilizing all three learning modalities—visual, auditory, and kinesthetic—to make academic content more accessible. Additionally, our Resource Coordinator facilitates the creation of individual learning plans, including IEPs and 504 plans, ensuring that both teachers and students are well-equipped for effective teaching and learning.
Accreditation
Colton Christian School is in its flagship year and is therefore preparing documentation to request candidacy for accreditation through the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC). All of our staff members are well versed in the accreditation process and we are excited to begin!
Spiritual Life
Colton Christian School integrates Biblical truth into all subjects. Each teacher dedicates specific time for daily devotions, Bible classes, and weekly chapel services. Students are required to have a personal Bible, which they will use and reference daily for classwork and homework. At Colton Christian School, students memorize Scripture and learn to courageously develop and defend their faith. Additionally, they complete community service hours throughout their academic careers, training them to lead by example and serve others in worship to Christ.

Literacy
If there is a skill that Christians everywhere need to practice, it's reading! Reading helps us understand and apply Scripture, be informed and participatory citizens, learn new things, and enjoy all kinds of literature!

Science
Our God has created a magnificent and mysterious world that we can use science to learn about! By using the scientific method, we can discover the truth about God's word and His order.

Writing
God is an excellent communicator! How can we become more like Him as we hone the ability to think and write with reason, clarity, and creativity? Writing is a great way to share our testimony and develop new ideas.

Heritage Studies
How has God demonstrated His power and providence throughout time? Heritage studies allows us to study God's will in action in Scripture and social studies!

Mathematics
God is incredible in that He ordered the universe to be understood! We can use examples from Scripture to see how precise and mathematical God has been with the heroes of the Bible, and how we can use math today to help others!

Physical Education
God made each of us in His own image and we are to be good stewards of the bodies we've been given. Learning about health and movement helps us honor God with our bodies.
